Fire Alley was formed in 1997 by guitarist Jack “Jaxxon” Schwarz, singer James Welch, and bassist Mark Blythe. In Spring of 2002 drummer Michael Scott joined the group completing the line-up.

The name Fire Alley refers to not only our experience of living in the desert under the searing, hot Arizona sun, but also defines the band’s approach to our music.  Fire Alley’s songs draw from many diverse areas of melodic hard rock and metal while still maintaining their own identity.

The band released its first “self-titled” CD in Fall of 2002 to great reviews and in 2003 signed a distribution agreement with Nightmare Records.
